How to update your details:

If you decide you want to change any of your details on Engserv, this can be handled on the User Control Panel. A link to this can be found on the navigation panel or use the URL:

www.engserv.co.uk/control

From here it is fairly easy to change your contact details and company information as well as the keywords and description which relate to your company. It is also possible to view some statistics to find out how often your details are viewed.

You will need your Engserv reference number and the password you chose in order to log in to the User Control Panel.

Engserv and e-MaterialCut.co.uk joint promotion:

e-MaterialCut is a UK based independent business-to-business engineering materials resource and, along with Engserv, is jointly promoting their services to the Engineering community. e-Materialcut is an online procurement tool for engineers, fabricators and general industry, which fosters new buyer/supplier relationships. Placing material cutting lists, bulk/bills of material requirements on the service can lead to new and cost effective sources of supply.

Basic Buyer Membership is free of charge, with a Free Zone for listing your job vacancies, bulk materials and surplus or wanted production equipment and machinery.

Please visit www.e-materialcut.co.uk for more information.

How Engserv is being promoted:

Engserv has been actively submitted to several hundred search engines and has produced really interesting results.

The site is designed so each company has a web page of its own, the address of which will never change. When the search engines examine the site, they use the alphabetical listing and the postcode listing to arrive at every single member page. The search engines index these pages using your keywords and descriptions.

The result of this is that many of the major search engines, especially Google, are directing visitors to your company details on Engserv when they search using keywords which relate to your company.

We are currently working on plans for magazine advertising and editorial. We will let you know how these progress in the next newsletter.

----------------------------------------

Engserv's International Flavour:

While Engserv is primarily a UK engineering resource, the number of people that visit the site from further afield is encouraging. For example, there has been much interest from Australia, Canada and Saudi Arabia. Most countries in Europe have provided visitors too, as well as many from Malasyia, China and Japan.

Unfortunately, the level of interest from the USA is very difficult to measure as the .com domain can be used to identify a visitor from almost anywhere in the world.

----------------------------------------

We hope you find this information of interest and will let you know of anything else you may find of interest in a few weeks.

Best wishes
